Raptor Petcock

Getting ready to swap my factory petcock out (it only runs on prime). Are there only certain of the Raptor petcocks that will fit the Savage? Or should I just be able to order a Raptor petcock and have it work? I know there are some links to ordering them out there, but I'm planning on going through my local shop and want to make sure I get a compatible one...

Thanks all...

I went to my local Yamaha dealer, where I bought my TW200, and told the nice girl behind the counter that I needed a petcock for the Raptor 660, she ask what year I said I think they are all the same she handed my one I went home and put it in, it fits, simple. How's that for a run on sentence. The point is it's  easy to do and works great, makes it easy to get the tank off too.

With the new raptor petcock, do you still have to take the petcock off to remove the tank??

You don't have to take the stock petcock off to remove the tank either. It just takes some wiggling it around the frame to squeeze it out.  Grin

The Raptor petcock clears the frame easily, and makes tank removal much less hassle...

... and, all Raptor 660 petcocks fit,... I included a specific model/year for internet ordering, and anal retentive counter salespeople...

(PS,.. I'll update the "Test your Petcock" post with this info....)

+1 for the raptor petcock. Removing the tank is now a 5 minute process instead of a 20 minute ordeal.
