My first crash! this evening I was riding with a couple of buddies and we came to a stop sign. My friend took off and slammed on his brakes because of a car he did not see. I ran into the back of him about 10 mph. We both went down and stopped traffic for miles. 45.000 miles on my bike and til today not a scratch. Dented my tank, busted my right hand mirror, turn signals both front and rear, and somehow bent my shifter and my brake petal. Probably some other stuff too. I think I knocked my self out for a bit because I awoke when some people were picking me up off the road.   I had to ride it 60 miles to get it home. I had to cut my glove off my left hand because I guess my fingers are busted. Swollen and black. My ankles hurt, my head hurts and might have busted some ribs over my heart because I can hardly breathe and it really hurts. I'm gonna go lay down and pretend it didn't happen

If it weren't for narcotics such events would be no fun at all.
You might oughta be checked out for the chest pains.  Punctured lung s'not good at all. Ask how I know.

Id run my fingers over each rib, left & right side, at the same time & FEEL for a broken sp[ot. Cant poke holes in lungs IF the ribs aint pointed in, can ya? When the connective tissues get shifted in the rib cage, it HUrts..

Stinger,I'm thinking your wounds were more severe than you thought.
Haven't seen another posting from you after the first.

I am hoping he was taken for some medical care and did not go to sleep and not wake up..

As soon as I could get up and go get my self checked out I did. I took your advice, thanks!  I went to the emergency room and they did a EKG because of my chest pain, some blood work, a MRI on my head a injection of morphine and a tetnis shot. plus xrays. my left hand is broke, 2 cracked ribs and severe chest bruising, my knuckle is cracked on my left hand below my index finger. and a couple other things i cant remember because the vicodens are kicking in. oh yeah, 2 broken toes on my right foot.  twisted ankle. sorry for the typing, hard to do one handed. once again, thanks for the concern      

It's Alive !  it's Alive ! boy barely alive by the sound of it , glad you are going to be ok. Now do you remember what you did wrong ? that way you never repeat it. I guess you won't be riding for a while,oh well winter is upon us ,what State do you live in,I'm guessing Pacific north west ?
