very nice bike, the Tank looks like it came off a 7R. don't recognize the frame, I know the old 7R had jam pots for rear springing ,it wasn't very good but they kept it on race bikes for 2 years .
So whats the story ?

Thanks bot, but in my youth my Dad was a pit mechanic for Sid Franklin who had an AJS dealership in London, Sid was an ok guy but he was no racer,he would start try and keep up with the middle pack of riders and bring it home in one piece, then he would show it in the window of his dealership still covered in bugs.it was a good drawing
item.  It was my job to polish the bloody thing in between practice laps,it didn't take long ,then I would sit on it and dream of becoming the next Jeoff Duke.
In the picture below is My Dad looking hansome Sid with his 7R.
and behind them is Geoff Duke one of the greatest riders ever.
he was a newbee in this picture though.

A little more info, the riders were putting there bikes away for the night , they are under gaurd all night before the race, years ago before they did that a winning bike in the 500 cc class was tested and found to be 560 cc,he was disqualified and sent home never to race again in the Isle of Man.

I just had a thought , If you save all your bus boy tips you could go to the Isle of Man and see real motorcyclist averaging over 120 miles an hour on a 37 and a half mile course, one of the best in the world, with two hairpins slowing you down to 10 miles an hour.it's worth spending the mony. However if you cant swing a trip over there I have several tapes from the Isle of man TT races (not stolen) If you like I will send you one to check out. but I do want it back.

I don't think I could ever save that much money. Especially now. I lost my bus boy job at MickDonalds. It wasn't my fault, someone ordered a Mick Rib sandwich and Mick Nuggets. Stupid me, I messed up the order and gave them a Mick Chicken sandwich and a Mick Muffin. I'm going to check Jack in the Box and see if they'll hire me. Besides, I could never understand how anybody would want to go so fast on a motorcycle. But thanks for the offer, you sound like a great guy.
Lupo, the bus boy.

if you really are a bus boy (i doubt it) at 59 years old, and it's way shorter to write Mc donalds. than Mick donalds,my real name is not mick,if that was what you were infering,I think I'm going to change my name to "The Wolf" sound good to you ?

Indeed I do Mick! Got my fingers crossed for your lottery win too! Man to see the Isle of Man TT would be a dream come true!! Cool

and here's a pic of possibly my all-time favourite motorcycle (though I've never actually seen one 'cept online) ... the Isle of Man inspired Honda GB500TT

I would love one of those Hondas ,not only Isle of Man inspired,I think the designer was leaning toward a Vellocette,in the picture below are a brace of Velo's,a 350 for the junior, and a 500 for the senior, they had just been delivered from the factory, standing in back from left to right is my Dad,the mechanic,Jack Danials, the rider,Franh Haines,a friend,
And Handle Davis, the owner of the store. Jack did not make the race
he was killed on a practice lap,my Dad was broken hearted they were best buddies.

It always amazes me why a big outfit like Honda would just make a few of those 500cc singles, they are like gold dust now trying to buy one,the cheapest I ever saw one was $5000 on CL it wasn't there long.
