I recently bought, at a yard sale, very cheap in a ziplock bag, a motorcycle trickle charger. I know that is what it is because it said so on the bag!
I thought I could find a manuel or something on line, but no luck. I thought I would ask my questions here and I am sure someone can help me.
It is a transformer that plugs directly into the wall, maybe seven foot of cord with a two inch square black box and then eight inches of pigtail coming out. It has a connector, like two barrel connectors fixed togther, one black one red. Black is negative, red is positive (checked with my meter).
On the front of the transformer it says the following:
MRC
MRC TECHNOLOGY INC
MODEL: 48C-2
AC ADAPTER
CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER
INPUT: 120V 60 Hz 18W
OUTPUT: 16VAC 600mA
MADE IN TAIWAN
It is also UL listed.
I checked it and it does put out the 16 volts, like it said. I searched for MRC. etc and found nothing like this, somewhere I did find a different model number. I contacted the company and have not heard anything back.
I just want to make sure this is what I think it is and that it will keep my battery charged while not frying something important.
Thanks for any help
Mike
