I had hit aprox 90mph on the highway going down a little hill. The only mod was 9 fifty cent coin size holes on the stock muffler. This was bringing the bike from Augusta, GA - Atlanta, GA (2.5 hour ride on 43 degree wheater) NOT FUN

Never held mine open long enough to find out. It pulls strongly to 85 and I have briefly taken it 90 a couple times. 07 S40 needle spacer and straight through glasspack muffler. I live at 1500 ft elevation.

Between 90 and 95 down hill with a tail wind, machine is stock. My GF weighs alot less than I do and she can get it almost to 100. We only tried this on one occasion, the bike likes it around 70. Regards, Jim.

I've had the FireLizard to 100mph indicated with re-jetted carb, Lancer's 1st generation performance cam, Jardine exhaust, and K&N Slip on air filter.

Cool, 100 mph indicated was what the Rockers on their Caff Racers called doing the ton. Has anyone done it verified by GPS?

The official redline is 6,500rpm. When my tachometer shows 6,500 rpm, my speedometer shows 95mph. It can get there when the conditions are right. Regularly 91-92 is the top end, that is just about 150rpm below the redline. It can do it either solo, or two-up. About 85 uphill is the limit solo, about 82 two-up. The other night It managed to redline with two-up. I guess the air was that good. If the tachometer is correct, my bike can't do the ton, unless it is overrevved downhill.

70 MPH and stock. I just got it running after it sat 2 years, its kind of shaky. She's smoothing out after several tanks of gas. I've done the ton on a couple of GoldWings and a 2009 Royal Star Venture. I couldn't tell I was going over 100 except for my wife jabbing me in the ribs

I got my stock '87 up to 80 once. With a 4 speed trans. It was winding out pretty good and a stop sign was coming so I let off. Was vibrating a lot too. I try to stay off the superslab, so 65 is about my limit these days.
