Easy enough, no need for precision there I guess.

.....Anyway, I'll find a way to plug that vacuum line, maybe a rubber plug from the auto store.

Thanks again.

Another way to skin that cat:

I squeezed a bit of silicone sealant into the hose first.

IHTH!

I'll just shove a screw in there and cap with a rubber nipple.

darn how long is the curing time on that RTV stuff? Still tacky after drying overnight. Well screw it, I'll put gas back in the tank tonight regardless.

I totally agree not to buy a used petcock especially one whos prior life was on a 4 wheeler caked in mud.  YMMV

Ok, new thing. Here's my setup now, I have a screamin eagle straight through muffler, cone air filter, stage 3 pilot and jet needle but in order to totally get rid of backfiring my richness screw is only open one turn. I mean the screw is almost all the way screwed in but one turn. Is that normal?

By the way, RTV has fixed my leaky petcock Smiley but I'm still replacing it when the raptor arrives, done with vacuum...

as long as you're less than 3 turns out (counterclockwise) from gently seated you're golden. If you're at 3 turns or more you need a richer pilot jet. Seems liek you got it pretty spot on.

Great, I think I had it backward, I though mistakingly that clockwise was richer and counter was leaner. I'll refine the tweaking, will be carrying that flathead screwdriver with me for a little while Smiley
