25% of the time normal.
75% of the time I have to hold up on the shifter while letting out on the clutch to get it to shift.

once upon a time, long, long ago, when I used to use dino m/c oil, it would occasionally stick.  Now that I use RotSyn it don't.

5th gear is as easy as 1st thru 4th.  My problem is when I try to get into 6th gear.

Clutchless works perfect
Clutching it, 5th can be a little sticky at times

Never an issue, easy as 1st-4th here as well.
Although, 1st-2nd sometimes sticks in "N"

Sometime a problem, and it diesn't feel like there is as much travel in the shifter when going into 5th.

Overall shifting is very easy as long as the drivetrain is still cold on mine. The hotter it gets the more trouble shifting I get. Especially 1-2 and 2-3 and 3-2. 2-1 is actually fairly smooth all the time, but 1-2 sticks often and I have to try a 2nd time. It goes to neutral first, and then I have to take off the foot and then try again and it goes into 2nd. I also noticed the lower the rpm he easier it goes into 2nd. Rev it to more that 3,000 in 1st and it will give me troubleI. But only when hot. I used Mobil1 20W-50 Full Synthetic V-Twin and it was worse. So I went back to Lucas 20W-50 Full Synthetic V-Twin. Summers in Oklahoma are very hot. I tried Mobil1 10w-40 Motorcycle oil in summer and the valvetrain is thrashing too much for my taste, especially when hot. Also the shift quality suffers more with the thinner oil. With Lucas 20W-50 it runs quiet and shifts smoother. The valves are set correctly. Should I try some other Oil?

Mine seems to depend on how long I wind out 4th.  If I short-shift it into 5th, it sticks.  Wind it a bit and it's fine.

Oh, to turn this into an oil thread, I run http://www.mobiloil.com/usa-english/motoroil/oils/mobil_1_v-twin_20w-50.aspx and have since about 1K miles.

If  Lucas is better than Mobil-1 try Klotz the next time.
