Almost Dropped It At A Stoplight

Tough morning.  Headed to work as usual.  Came up to a stop light that had turned red, and I stopped with no problem, but when I put my foot down, it hit into a puddle of water that had come off the AC of the last car to sit there, and the water was on top of the oil that collects at the light.

Foot just slipped out to the side and I just about lost it.  If the Savage was any heavier, I might have dropped it, but was able to hold her up.  Would have been really embarassing to have to pick it up right there Grin.

Just a leasson learned, I don't remember them mentioning that as a risk in the MSF class. Smiley

Don't worry T2B, you are not alone.  Plenty of near-drops for me!   Wink

AHHH, I call that move "The powersplits". Hurts like the dickens when the foot goes out & the groin muscle is trying to halt its slide. Makes me seriously wonder how those skinny old men ride the big bikes & haul their wife around on that seat thats up higher.

Also stay off the painted arrows and lines and any metal manhole covers.
Those are slick when wet too!

Glad to hear you were able to keep her upright. In my MSF class they did go over being aware at lights and as Cursal pointed out the white arrows and man hole covers. Is easy to not see what is on the ground when your paying attention to a light as well as traffic around you.
