If I can see the oil at the bottom of the site glass it's good. I've done this a few times. When I actually tilt the bike upright and check it, it is always about 2/3 up the lines...just below full...

Reply #20 - 07/30/10 at 09:16:05 The book says to check oil when it is warm so I'll idle it for a few minutes or let it drain for 5 when I return - checking the oil seemed a problem at first but a 2x4 under the kick stand works just fine and also if mine does fall it is next to a wall and will rest against it -
