Piglet, remember mine is a newer model and has not had any modifications. That could explain the better vibration..  Wink  Kim

True...  I guess my seat modification cut out some of the good vibrations.... dangit.

I just love the power pulses that a big single delivers.  It gives great feedback when powering out of turns and I can turn on a dime with the thing because its small and light.

I love the big question mark on top of peoples head when they see my bike... Love the mod-ability of this bike.

Mine is my daily rider and I don't own a cage.  It sees almost no miles outside the city limits.

So, I'd have to say that the number one feature for me is the belt.  Much cleaner and quieter than a chain and practically zero maintenance for me and the way I ride this bike.

Makes the Savage pretty much unique nowadays.

I'll agree with Lancer and a couple of others - the best thing about the Savage would be the power characteristics of the engine.

Worst thing about the Savage, for me, mind you, is the cruiser styling. Riding position is too passive and backside-biased. A Royal Enfield thumper may be in my future. Take a look at http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2010models/2010-RoyalEnfield-BulletG5De...
Now, that's a motorcycle! Note the center stand, fuel injection, mid controls, proper seat, and heritage.
