Nice work.  I do see one small problem that could arise and thats that you have the long end coming up and toward the jack lever so if you bend over to jack it up and aren't looking you might jack it into your head.  I'm guessing you did that for better balance on the support though.

How much was your total build cost?

I have not recieved the bill from the ppl. who galvanises the lift yet, but a guestimate would be 1800,- Dkr total for the lift, about 310,-$ In comparison I have found a lift in the shop that matches mine and it costs 5000,- Dkr The cheapest place (865,-$)

Yes I know the lift raises in a little awkward but it has to be like this.
The lift has to be mounted a little close to a wall, but when it lifts up it will pill away from the wall... and earh right into my head  Grin When I posts pictures of the finished build you will see.

Sorry JOG, I maybe shouldn't have called it a basket case, although it did come with a bucket and small box worth of "extra" pieces.  Here it is:  I'll take more pics of it as we progress.  But it would definitely be easier to work on with a lift.

Simple solution is to reverse the overhang to the other side.
Another option is to make the bed symetrical to the supports.

I can build anything too, but how do you compete w/ the MC/ATV lift at HF right now for 69 bucks ? I don't mind buildin stuff, but I'd rather "ride" if its just going to be for my health ! Shocked

Can't be any worse than craftsman.
They're imported from china.
and can't be repaired.

Finaly got a step further with the lift Smiley
Got poured the cement last week and today i removed the mold and tested if the lift would fit the hole Smiley
Im almost there now and looking foreward to spending a LOT of time with my new lift and bike Smiley

On an other note, I got around to making the bike stand... wanted to do that for ages but....... lazy me Smiley
I have been wondering about why ppl mounted that darn pipe... so I tryed using a 100*100 angle bracket. Both hands on the handle bar and the right foot on the bracket.... worked realy well Smiley black paint and a bit of carpet on the suface that comes in contact with the frame, then its all done.
Just for info Smiley
