Try AFABonline for plans to build one like you want. We've got one of the Harbor Freight one and a Handy with side extensions for ATV's here and use them all the time. Max

Im almost finished with my new garage  Cheesy
I have been looking for a bike lift but think they are WAY to expensive..... ( cheap bastard Grin )

It has to be able to be built "into" the floor so taht its not in the way when it not in use !
Hope my viking english makes sense to you Smiley

Have you given any thought to a hoist instead of a lift?  If you have some sturdy overhead beams, some eye bolts and rigging would lift it to any height you are likely to need and leaves uncluttered floor space when not in use.  It would never fall off the lift either.
I have done this in the past and it works well.

BTW when not being used for the bike it can be used to hang other things like door knocking politicians and evangelists.

Little update:
Got the materials today and started the project...
Ill just let the pictures do the talking  Cheesy
And yes, its only spot welded... much more easy to correct a mistake down the line. When it works 100% ill complete the welding.
