ok i would really appreciate help before i explode

so this is the deal... i got a 98 savage 650, and i tore it all down and rebuilt the whole bike and repainted, shaped some stuff, new rims, tires, lots of lil mods etc. well when it came to wiring the bike i had wanted to make it much more simple as well as hide all the wires in the process, nothing on the handle bars but throttle and a brake.. the clutch and shifter are below (foot clutch and jockey shifter) ok so i removed and jumped/brifged all the parts i would not need and i plugged it all back in and it started up ok. at this time i took it apart again to do all the final lil touches and polishing, last minute painting, whatever stuff. i go to do the wiring this time and i get nothing at all!!! i try for hours to figure it out and no luck... so eventually i junked the harness and used a diagram i found on this site for a very basic wiring plan i set it all up to the drawing, when i started it she didnt run, i then junped a hot leg straight to the coil and she kicked right over and i thought i had it! well about 30seconds later it died and wouldnt start again from then... so my question is what do yall think happened? blown ignitor/cdi box? im wondering if i order a new one if someone has a very easy to understand wiring diagram to see, and i mean the most basic of basic, i want no clutch safety or sidestand b.s just start and go, headlight and tail nothing else. i have 2 toggles ready 1 for off and on and the other is a starter toggle, i dont wanna go back to a whole new harness at this point as im afraid the same thing will happen again, this is killing me as the bike is beautiful and as close to a show bike as it gets so please any help would be appreciated.... i would be willing to set it up with an aftermarket cdi box or anything thats gonna work, i just wanna ride her so bad!!! i can post pics of the bike if anyone wants to see it as well; i just figured this was the wrong section to show off a bike...

search 'bobber wiring'

http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1266461145/4#4

There could be a whole lot wrong or a few simple things.
check fuel, air, spark.
If the battery is run down, you'll get a weak spark, even though it turns over great.
if carb has been sitting long, might need cleaning.
with the stock wiring, loose connectors often cause no start.

wicked build btw.

yeah im gonna give it one more try today, i just found a stock almost perfect condition 97 savage for 900 title in hand i may buy it and steal the harness and just try one part at a time to see whats bad on mine, then use the parts from it to finish my bike right away, after its done i could order a harness off ebay and if i have a bad part i could get that too, and do a quick chop and paint, sty;ing etc to the bought bike, to relist it on craigs for a lil bit of a prifit or atleast cover its own cost... i really wanna get the gold savage goin though its the best part of summer and im staring at a really shiny paperweight Smiley

thanks for the nice words, she is almost done, should be completely finished by tuesday, i have a 2nd savage on the chopping block as we speak, gonna be very different, 1 of a kind hardtail frame with 6inch rear stretch, 21inch rims front and back, lots of custom fab, tiny 1 gallon wassel tank low clip on bars, maybe a leaf or springer front end etc... i will update as soon as i get a lil further with it!
