I have stock tires on my 2005 s40 . The front seems alot farther gone than the back . The bike only has 3k mi on it . How can you tell when to replace it? Thanks

I run mine until they're darn near bald, but if you want to play it the safe way just check it with a penny like you would a car tire.

I run mine to the wear bars and not much further.

The front stocker started cupping pretty bad by 5,000 & the rear had always felt like wet Owl Crap, even on dry roads, but, I rode them till the tires had deteriorated to the point that I could no longer run thru the sweepers at speed w/o it pitching & yawing handlebars wobbl;ing.
Recommend a fork brace, too.

It will be more sure footed, even if you dont ride crazy, youll feel it. I figure if it feels more steady, maybe the front tire wont cup up so,, & so far, it hasnt.

only if you got'em.
those fork protectors gotta come off.
then put the center piece between the forks
and bolt on the outer clamps.
done.
