I ran the test on my way to work the other day and almost didn't make it home. It stalled on me and then didn't want to start again. I got it started and got home, put it in the garage and gave it a couple of days so I could cool down. So I started taking it apart to do a carb tune-up and found that the battery, which was just replaced, had a nut missing on the negative battery cable terminal. Replaced the nut and so far so good. Will keep you guys updated on the final results. One other stupid question. As the bike did not come with an owners manual, what grade of gasoline is recommended in my 1988 savage?
