Bar end mirrors
07/05/10 at 16:56:32

Anyone have them? Do they work well on the savage with the vibration?

I've done some poking around on ebay and some other sites and am having a hard time finding any that will work on 1 inch bars - anyone know where I could pick some up?

Thanks for the help!

I have these... I like them...
They are 7/8" but you can just spacer the inside of the bar to make them fit...  took a little experimenting...
PS... stock pullback bars have the ends blocked so they won't work.  Don't know about stock drag bars,.. mine are aftermarket...

I have run Napolean bar ends on most of my bikes over the years and love them.  You can't beat the clear view as far as getting out past your arms and elbows.  My cafe savage will have them when it is done.  I would suggest spending the $30-$40 for real Napoleans and don't skimp out on the $15.99 China made crap.  They are just that.

My set up looks pretty much like Serowbot's and I love them.  They're designed for 7/8" bars. I wrapped the nut in Gorilla tape and stuck them in my 1" bars.  The ends of the drag bars that came on my '86 are also blocked with weights.

I run one bar end on the left. Works great, no complaints.

Serowbot, sorry man I did not mean to offend.  I have just had so much trouble with cheap Chinese made bike parts, especially knock offs of an original that I stay away from them.  For me certain parts on a bike (functinal improtant ones) get my money for well made good quality versions and I find other places to save my cash (like where I buy them etc).

over all I love bar ends the best for view and the look is good on anything that you want a streamlined look to.

take care man!  keep the rubber side up!

Thanks for the responses.

Serow - what did you use for the spacer inside the bar-end?

Gee,.. That's a good question... Huh...

I was trying to use a piece if rubber hose, but it was too squishy,...  I think I ended up with wood shim...
It did take some fiddling, but ended up solid...

Also,.. study carefully which allen heads tighten which adjustment... once you get it all snugged evenly, it's pretty trouble free...
