My bike is a freak. My results so far do not jive with anyone elses experience. The plugged pilot was too lean so i put in a 10 which became too rich as i upped the main/mid circuits. Had to drill an airbleed in the needle jet. 480 main and im still a bit lean on the mid and main as confirmed by my plug.

back off, babyhog, Pittsburgh is the best! lots of curves to ride up and down and around... looks nice at night too.

with a stock engine, rejetted stock carb (that isn't right just yet) , a cone air filter, and a jardine exhaust that blew the baffles out of itself I can get to 80-85 with little difficulty.

i'd vote to double check the carb jetting and then if that is good go into the engine. you've got to be losing power/efficiency somewhere, and aren't too many parts to lose it in...

LOL  Grin Actually I love Pittsburgh, have been there many times.  Even have a Pittsburgh magnet on my fridge!  Guess I need to ride the bike there sometime.

how big is your rear tire? I put a 150/90 on and it was big enough that it would expand at high speeds and rub on the swing arm brace thingy. did that at maybe 60-70 mph. ground down the swing arm and it still rubs but not as bad and upped the tops speed. i just have to behave til i get a new rear.
