hand grips removal
06/22/10 at 07:26:50

As I was replacing the bars on my 96 last night, I ran into an issue removing the left side grip... in my defense, it was getting dark... seems I do not know how the left grip comes off (could also have been my second beer).  Anybody know how it is "supposed" to come off...?

There was some light glue/sticky stuff under mine.  I ran a pick or small screwdriver carefully along the bar, up under the rubber, and worked it around the bar to release the grip and slip it off.  It stayed tacky enough that I didn't need to reapply any when I put it on the new bar, but you might need to use something.
