Are these thumpers ok w/ starting fluid.......in the engine that is.
Yes, there are more uses for starting fluid than airing up tubeless tires Grin
I'm from the old school,.....in that if it don't start, ee-ther that sucker ! If it still don't start, fix it ! Grin

Very small burst. Once. Stand back when you hit the button, your airbox is going to be a bomb if it backfires. And it likely will. WD-40 is a safer bet, contains propane and the oil won't harm the carb boots like ether will.

I've used a syringe a couple times to direct soot some gas through the spark plug hole.

I used the WD-40 trick about a month ago when I was getting my wife's scoot back up and running after not being started for 2 years. Found a cracked vac line and she purrs just fine now  Smiley
