Finally got the last gasket in so it's roadworthy, got it licensed and insured and took it for my first real ride today. I love it! I see why you all talk about the handling so much. I've still got some details to work out and some touching up and cleaning to do but I don't want to wait to post pics.
Here's the day I brought it home.
My influences were all over the map but I ended up with a bike I like. I wanted that stripped down bobber look but also wanted at least a little storage so I chopped the fender and then bolted these tool bags right to it.
The muffler came off an SV100. It sounds great. The previous owner made the seat covers and matching grips. After I got the bags I picked up some $3 marker lights and mounted them in the bags for turn signals.
Front signals are the same ones that a few of us have gotten on Ebay. The others have them on the rear.
The chrome indian also came from Ebay. It was the top to a fragrance bottle.
My starter switch was working intermittently and after I messed with it it got better then failed completely so I stuck another one between the seat and the tank. But today I forgot about it and used the handlebar switch and it fired right up. So now I have two.

Bill I stopped by the local PD to see if I could go to jail for ruining another Savage but they assured me I'm safe.
