I'd like to get some real riding boots, but tennis shoes with the laces double knotted and tucked into my sock works for now..

I wear Bellville goretex combat boots, no steel toe.  They are very comfortable.

I have 2 pairs of boots that I alternate with.

One pair is black.  And of course the other pair is PINK.... Wink

Both cover my ankles and my pink ones got scuffed up a bit in the accident along with my pink leather jacket.

My opinion for what it is worth is, boots that cover as well as  protects your feet and ankles.
