I noticed the past couple of days when I get off the highway and I'm sitting at the light at the end of the exit ramp, I can hear the engine making the same sound it makes after I turn it off. That familiar tink tink tink of cooling metal.

It may have always done it and I'm just noticing it now because I haven't been wearing ear plugs.

Just curious if others notice that too.

Yeah I've always noticed that in anything I've every used that has an internal combustion engine in it.. although it is one reason why long highway trips in a machine are better than a number of little trips in and out and stopping.. that is the sound of metal fatigue..
