Float settings--height and drop?
06/06/10 at 14:14:02

Anyone know? I can't get any links from tech section to work, I can't access the online manual--I found one post that said 28mm from carb body to bottom of float, with carb held upside down. The picture showed the carb right side up. I need the measurements for float height-(needle closed) and float drop-(needle open). And measure from where to where?
TIA

Anyone?? Jump in there. Don't be shy. Somebody here must know. I can't believe everyone takes apart their carb, cleans it and reassembles it without checking the float! Verslagen?? Lancer?? Somebody. Anybody.  Undecided

OK. I just left the float where it was before. Always seemed to run ok. I did, however, go to the dealer and got a petcock rebuild kit for $22, and a new needle for another $9. A little expensive, but it beats waiting for delivery in the mail. I'm still putting her back together, making sure all is right along the way. Gonna adjust the clackity valves today and should have it fired up by tonight. I hope this all works as I don't have any more money to put into it.
