Passenger Foot Pegs

What is needed to remove the foot peg?  It looks like a hex of some sort, but none of the metric hex tools fit (they are too small), anyone know what size they are?

Am I assuming correctly that hex key will remove the bolt?

Thanks in advance.

The hex key does it.

and to get the bolt out you'll need to remove the wheel.
