Check the belt tension and rear wheel alignment first.  You really shouldn't need to put any goop on the belt, especially on a bike that's almost new.  It's much more likely the dealer assembled it incorrectly.

personally, adjustment is the way to go as you're getting wear wear there should be none.

simple enough to do.
jack rear tire up.
spin the tire, note if the belt is hugging the left or right side.
this is what causes the chirping
check belt tension be twisting the belt sideways
you should be able to twist it 90°
if it's too tight and the belt hugs the right, then loosen the left
if it's too loose then tighten the right.
and vice versa if it's hugging the left.
not done yet, spin the tire the other way and repeat.
you want to get the belt as centered as you can.

now if the bearing for the pulley or the rubber dampers are worn out... you may never get it straight and you'll have to replace and or shim them.

Thanks for the advice. My uncle and I put it up on his lift and the belt looked aligned. So, I smeared on some silicone grease and that took care of it . Kim
