According to an article I read long ago, many engines will not run at wide-open throttle at lower speeds. Could be this one won't accept wide-open throttle lower than 3500 or so.

If this torque curve is accurate, it does show there is no 6500 rpm rev limiter, as the curve goes up to 7000.

My s40 will pull from 30 mph easy in high gear, that I think would be around 2350 rpm.

The standard S40 has a CV carburetor. On a CV carburetor the throttle handle and the butterfly may be wide open, but the true throttle - the slide - isn't wide open until the engine inhales enough air to open it. If the true throttle isn't wide open, it limits engine air and fuel flow, and thus torque and power.

VERY NICE NUMBERS AND A GOOD TUNING JOB.
COMING FROM A DYNO THOSE ARE "REAR WHEEL" HP AND TORQUE VALUES.
THAT IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO WHAT DIAMOND JIM GOT ON THE "BLACK SHADOW" WHEN HE DYNO'D IT AFTER THE EXHAUST MODS AND CARB JET/TUNE.
