Motolanna header

Just bough one. Should be here in 4-7 days. I'll let you all know how it stacks up exactly. $89 for the header and $60 for express shipping with tracking for $150 total. Still 1/3 the price of a raask.

by looking at the pictures only, Im thinking it might need to be twisted a bit in the middle to suit the savage. Im also concerned about the lip on the head end. looks much much deeper than that on the stock head. Might be able to jerry rig it or have it cut down somehow. It looks considerably shorter than the stock header but thats an easy fix.
Then again it might be a perfect fit. I'll find out within a week one way or another.

Based on the dimensions that Peter gave me, the SR500 header is almost exactly the size shape of what we need but the flange mount at the top is slightly different with more narrow bolt hole centers.  But it should be pretty easy to make the adjustment for us, maybe as easy as sliding our own flange on to the pipe...would be nice.

I have some 1.5" tubing and bends left over from modifying headers for my truck.  I am about ready to start welding and then paint it and  wrap it.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the flange at the exhaust port?
I dont want to stop riding long enough to take it off to measure.
can anyone help me out?

Its in, and its pretty. It is not going to be a direct fit though. The end closest to the head needs to be about 2-3inches longer i think and have a base to match the exhaust port welded on. The muffler end needs to be bent downward and outward about 7-10 degrees. I wont know for certain about this until I get my top end back from the shop but if my initial assesment is right it seems it would be cheaper and almost as easy to just get prebent peices and weld them ones self. I do not have a welder and the only person I know that welds isnt the most reliable as far as getting a hold of him.
It seems, for now, that the full potential of my other mods is going to be hampered for a while. Ive run out of expendable cash and patience messing around. I just want to get my top end back and start riding again.
If anyone here with a welder would like to toy around and make it fit for a fee...well...consider this an offer. That way said person could get a chance to see the product and know what would be involved without shelling out $150 to find out like I just did. I might consider an outright sell as well. I payed $90 and $60 for shipping from thailand. If someone wants to figure it out and keep it $90 and shipping from me to you. If someone wants to figure it out so they know before they buy their own I'll pay to have it worked and sent back to me.
