foot rests and shifter pad

Hello All,
Kinda new to this forum, although I have been lurking for a bit. I just bought my girlfriend her first bike. '97 Savage, in pretty good shape, about 5000 miles on it. I've been hunting on ebay, and on this forum for replacement rider foot rests, and a shifter pad. The foot rests I have found seem way expensive, and so far have stuck out on the shifter pad. I think these items would make nice Mothers Day gifts, but need a little help finding them. Anyone know a relatively inexpensive source? Or, for the shifter pad, is there a good looking functional fix/replacement/mod?
