cold weather/petcock?

i live in buffallo ny,today is 60 and this bike will not start when its cold, new carbs,new plug,high test gas.was told to run petcock in reserve..commmon prob.help please

Tom, you need to delete this question and repost it over in Rubber Side Down --  you will get a lot more response to questions in the question section.  This section is for documenting repairs methods and other modifications.

Just in case this didn't get moved, let me add something here:

If you suspect a petcock problem, the vacuum diaphragm should be one of the first things you check.

I had a temperature-related petcock problem:
