The ones above the head give a harsh vibe to the grips, down by the feet will put the feet asleep.

I haven't tried it yet, but wonder if it would work. I think I'll attempt it on my days off and see what happens.

California Gender:	Re: handlebar vibration Reply #9 - 04/22/10 at 15:43:58 weight by itself will dampen the vibes or at least make the resonant frequency slower. loose lead shot like what used in dead blow hammers will kill it. next adjust the stiffness of the rubber mounts for the risers.

I think that all they are just a spring with a weight suspended within the bar could be a cool diy project ... would have to be a pretty loose spring I imagine with a guide rod and just a chunk of lead. That sort of vibration technology was first used on ships and earthquake prone skyscapers. Great idea kudos to Vibranator for trying it out on bikes.

Someone took a cigar tube, filled it with b-b's or buckshot or something, put some rubber o-rings around it and slid it into the bar.
