If your nerves arent able to tell the muscles to move, I expect they'll atrophy in time, then even IF the nerves come back, the hand wont be ready w/o a load of physical therapy. I will repeat here, that it may be helpful for you to get a Tens Unit & use that to activate the muscles. IDK if that could help the nerves regenerate or not, but it seems to me it would be as beneficial as anything. Talk to your Dr or physical therapist. Maybe theyll just giggle at the idea, IDK..

I'm going in on Monday,I will ask about the tens unit, as a matter of fact an earlier theropist sugested that very thing ,so I will push for it when I go in,thanks for the reminder,I know they will not giggle at the idea.

You could get an AH Sprite, MG Midget or MGB and get all of the "work on it" you could want. Most of them are rolling projects, regardless of how nice or restored they are.

My Dad had one ,the crown wheel threw 4 teeth on the way home from work,we could hear my Dad a mile away clunking his way home. we could not find a new crown wheel so he welded 4 home made teeth back on, it stilled clunked ,but not so noisy.

Yes just a 4cyl, 60HP. Does 3200RPM@55MPH. Any VW Beetle will take it in any race. Having said that, it is the most reliable, well designed, cheap to run (30MPG) and easy to fix car I've ever owned. If they sold the same car new, I'd buy it in a flash. 156 thou. trouble free miles, so far. It just goes to show how reliable British cars are, as long as ignorant brutes don't own them.

Mick, hang in there my friend. Nerves can and sometimes do come back. Back in 2000 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had surgery to remove it. Of course one ofthe results was the big boy did not want to stand up at attention any more ... Sad

However, over time and with a lot of stimulation Grin

it did come back. Not 100% but definitely functional.
