For those in the know, does the exposed tail light wiring risk damage from  the tire if one goes to oversized rubber? Would an inner fender covering the wiring be in order?

It sounds like common sense, but lots of you have a whole lot more miles on a Savage than I do. As long as I got to repaint it anyhow, I thought I would tack weld a piece of expanded metal lath up under the back of the fender...just in case.
