Progressive 412 shocks

I have a set of 412's, but they were made for Harleys and the bushings/sleeves are too small for the Savage. I know some others here have used the 412s, and I was wondering if you got a metric version of the shocks or you just modded the bushings to fit.

Did you get new bushings and sleeves from somewhere, or did you just press them out and press the Savage shock bushings in?

The company does sell them and they're not expensive, at least they weren't.
