There is a ton of battery related information, if you use the Search function.  (*Note -  Change "Post was made in the last..." drop-down, because the default search period is the last week)

but here's a recent one... http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1266865500/1#1

I've had real good luck with this Interstate Battery.

6+ years of use and still going strong.

210 CCA.

If I was not out to save every $, I would definently go w/ an AGM battery, for more than one reason.
They are still a "lead acid" battery (not gell as some here think) only in a different format. They will take more abuse such as faster charging, and deeper discharging, and not needing to chech fluid level in a place like the savage, would be a big plus.

I installed a Yuasa Gel battery over 2 years ago, and it works like the day it was new. 2 winters with extended frost, even sitting for weeks at a time didn't do it any harm. One time in winter for about 3 weeks it was frosty and I didn't ride at all. The bike sat under the back porch with just a cover on. It started without a glitch, just a little longer cranking as I assume the bowl was out of gas. It didn't sound like it was even partially discharged when I cranked her up the first time.

I thought it was, can't tell now. I threw the box away. I got it at Autozone. Nevertheless it's a very good one. No problems so far at all.
