Saw 4 road-kills this morning on my 10-mile ride to work, but I was in the Jeep.  Will probably go home at lunch and get the bike.  I should be able to get a pic of one...
Saw a live deer, but I don't think he will hold still for me to take a pic... lol

Ok, since we seem to be having problems with the animals, dead or alive, I will throw these out to you.  My bike is not in the photo because it is a screen capture from a video and I was ON the bike... lol

I saw 5 coming back from lunch, but only 2 that showed up well enough on screen...

            Here's a nice yucky one:

                And another:

And here's the same shot during a morning ride a couple weeks ago... see no road kill, but you can see my shadow   Wink

Me too.

I saw a flat "something" when I was riding this afternoon, but it wasn't safe to stop.  No shoulder, just a cliff on one side, and a BIG drop on the other.  Too bad, I'd have liked to get a shot of the view along with the roadkill. Roll Eyes

Looks good, or bad depending on what you are looking at.  I actually didn't find one in L.A. this time, I thinks the road crew was working overtime.

So what's next?

I'm wouldn't expect many roadkills in L.A. city, at least.  I might see a dead squirrel in town, but the outroads are better.

Oh, and my first picture there, if you notice, the right half of the lane with the kill in it was re-paved not long ago.  It looks smoother than it is.  I ride the old pavement there, but like to stay toward the middle of the lane.  And its in a curve that folks in the other lane like to ride the double-yellow, so luckily I remember it was there on my way home.  That could have been ugly!  And I sure wish I could share the smell with you....

Ok NEXT -- Show me a "WELCOME TO ______" sign, for your City, Town or State.

This is the bridge that set the city limits up until the 1940's

Pic shot during the 2008 flood. There's a restaurant just next to it that bakes really great pizzas and grills wonderful steak, mmm !!!

And this is my place of work

Hey, now you ALL know I really have a bike !!!   Cool

I notice that according to the road sign on the first picture it is illegal to play trumpet in Rome.

"Trumpet" is also an idiomatic expression for ...

Wink
Kiss
Cheesy

Grin Grin Grin

Maybe they meant "No trumpet playing with the painter's wife" ?

It reminds me of a sign with a male behind (a$$) with a musical sign coming from that a$$ that meant "No farting" or tooting.

Piglet, I DEMAND that you come over and enjoy yourself !

If you insist, free visit to the Coliseum, lions & tigers courtesy of yours truly
Cheesy
Okeydokey, so...
...what should we be looking for now ?

How about...
.
.
.
A picture of at least one Savage + two Savage riders living at least 1000 miles apart, meeting and "cheese-ing" to the camera?
BUT
If that were to be against the rules (er... page 1 or somewhere thereabouts)

THEN AND ONLY THEN
a Savage rider and at least one Police motorcycle Officer, smiling and not arresting  Cheesy.

I will definitely look you up when I get around to planning my Italy trip!

Ok, I'll make the call on the challenge -- I'm sure we have some members who live that far away and have met, so I'm sure there are some pictures out there.
I think we discussed not using "old" pictures for the hunt, but feel free to post them anyway.

But for the purpose of the challenge - I say the motorcycle policeman will be the actual hunt.

Cool?
