take a clear hose
run it from the bottom of the carb
up along the side
and open the drain valve
gas should come up a bit
now turn the petcock to prime
gas should come up to the gasket on the bowl

if that '95 is like mine it doesn't have a drain other than to remove the entire screw on the bottom - no place for the hose

unlike the '02 where the bottom of the bowl has a molded metal tube and the drain screw is on the side of this - that allows you put a clear tube on it

on the '95 you'll just have to pull the bowl to set it - do have reason to believe it is off?

Sort of a pain to do without pulling the carb -

Float level as measured by the book method:

    26.95-28.95mm (1.06-1.114in)

While the bowl is off, mo betta you swap out the four screws for stainless allens.  They won't grow roots the way the factory anodized ones do.

thanks for all the help guys. i have adjusted it but it seems like it may be a little to low now. oh well i will try it one more time .if it is not the float then i am perplexed. because now it is not starting easily like it hase no fuel and the idle is uneven.
