There's a washer on the inside of the middle gear. How do I get the gear out? I can't figure it out this time. It's coming most of the way out but gets stuck on the lip of the rotor.

You may have put some wear on it. put a pry bar on either side and evenly pry it out or get a gear puller. Or just wiggle it till it comes out.
