you can see how I smoothed the triple

made a 1 piece spacer - bearing dust cap.  Turned out good.

It gets sandblasted to even up the surface textures when done.

What tank is that second pic off of?  How much modification did that fit require?

Thank you.

honda cm 400.  the tunnel needs a little shaping if you want the tank to sit that low.

and you might have to modify the front of the stock seat.

Master builder pays us a visit!!  Cheesy

Man, I almost signed onto customfighters just to suggest a couple of things.  I guess popping out the tank dents with ice is a moot point now.. but if you are still looking for a more "old school" petcock, the one from the yamaha raptor 660 will bolt right on.  And it's a manual one.  I switched just to get rid of the diaphragm/vac line which tends to fail on these bikes.

Edit: and are you going to mount a roller or something behind the countershaft sprocket?

Thanks Boule.  your always helpful

2  problems with raptor prtcock.

one, i hate the stock location.

Two, well i guess pics describe this one better

If you look at the tank you see the dents have been heated. well i tried the  heat and ice trick. pulled them bout half way out. even used air duster up side down.

gonna freeze a big chunk of ice and try it again, but the dents were pretty bad.
