Clear Turn Signal Lenses ?
01/25/10 at 08:05:39

Hope all is well with everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to find or get clear lenses for the bike's turn signal lights.  My dad has a pair on his Harley, and I think they would look a ton better than the standard S40 lights.  I'm new to this, so i'm also wondering if they're pretty universal or if I can reference another bike so I know they will fit.

Thanks everyone!

I might have found some lenses elsewhere, I might be digging the "smoked" lenses even more.  You have any other recommendations for websites?  Thanks!

One person said they had to replace their smoked lenses due to them being dark.

You said S40, not Savage, so I assume you have a post-2005 model??  Mine's an '06 and it seems to me that when I broke a rear signal, I think the lens was glued into the housing.  I could be wrong, because I know you can buy replacements, but you might check to see if you can even pop your lens off easily, before you go to the trouble of looking for new lenses.  You might end up wanting entirely new signals.  I know the Savage lens comes apart from the housing much easier.  Just a thought...

Thats true babyhog, mine's a 2009 standard.  I'm wondering about the chrome visors you can add to your signals though, if the lens is made to twist or pop off to install them?  Can anyone verify?

I think you can remove the S40's lenses? I busted the left rear turn signal on the S50 I had a few years ago and the lens just popped off ... it screwed right back on if memory serves ... try a counter clockwise turn?

Anyone know if this product from denniskirk.com will fit the stock Savage/S40 headlight?

Oooh, I love DennisKirk!!  They ship fast and usually free.  I've gotten some fabulous deals from them.  Check their clearance section often!
Usually under an item description, there is a "Fitment" tab that will show you all the bikes an item will fit, so you might check there on that headlight.

I forgot to try to twist the lenses off last night.  I busted the housing on mine, but the lens looked ok, so I was gonna save it.  I swear I couldn't get it apart, but maybe I just didn't twist hard enough...

I like the chrome visors too!

I like these turn signals... thinking I'll order them soon.
