I was just having my 06 safety stickered for the year and found out the headlight was pointing to the ground about 5' from the front tire. [I really don't like riding at nite!] When my mechanic went to adjust it, the whole thing stopped lighting up! Turns out I had an aftermarket "visor" on the headlamp and it had unhooked an adjustment spring which then pulled out the wire when he went to adjust the level! darn, aren't these things fun?
Hope that your problem is as simple (?) as mine was!
