Pull the rear shocks and jack the rearend... to get room...

I did with the wheel in place, and without removing the shocks. It took some tiny hands and a lot of patience. I'd suggest getting a ratcheting wrench vs. a socket.

Since you will be back there anyway, why not just remove the rear wheel. I personally think you will be just adding frustration trying to remove the fender without removing the wheel.

i did it I just reached my hands in there and took out all the bolts it actually wasn't to bad. the problem came when i tried to put it back on but I figured it out. I did have to use a ratcheting wrench to get in there though.
