Is it necessary to hard mount the R/R to metal for grounding purposes?
Undecided
Isn't the R/R grounded through the wiring of the bike?

A week or so ago, someone here throwed theirs inside the airbox,.....so I assumed it was allready grounded, or didn't need one.

2 ground paths from the reg/rec
metal mounting is to aid heat dissipation
