Still waiting for more info like miles, she said it runs but needs carb cleaned. I just might look at it this weekend,4 speed right, what else should I be concern about? last one I looked at sounded like a can of bolts when it was running!

A '99 without a title was just posted on Craigs List in Ormond Beach FL. for $500.00. Might be a good part bike if anybody is interested. An '88 for $800 could be worth it, bring money and take a look.

Just to give you an idea I just bought a 1995 Savage about 6 weeks ago for $700. It is running and in fair condition. It does have an oil leak and the seat is ripped a little bit on the seam. Other than that it does have new tires and a new belt. and the chrome doesn't have any rust.

I'd prefer a '95 or better because of the starter torque limiter.

I'll wait and see if the miles are not too bad, always worth a look,it's only 1 hr. away.

Can the "anti-reverse" thing be added to the starter?
