On the road  Smiley

Seriously, unless you are storing it outdoors (sad, but understandable), having the MC sit for a couple of days (longer consider a battery tender) between rides isn't the end of the world. Some people only ride on weekends.

You should have plenty of riding days through the winter near DC.

That's when you idle the sports bike because you can't stand the thought of the 100+ mph wind blast chill factors.

And you idle the long trip cruiser, because you won't be taking any long trips in the cold.

But the quick nimble get around town wee bagger stays up, because you use it every day to go to the library, the grocery store, etc.

In my part of Canada heated indoor bike storage runs you from $150 to $200 for the season. With some places that includes pickup & delivery, and all offer a oil and filter change, gas stabilizer, and storing the battery on a trickle charge. When it's time to pick up in the Spring, they reinstall the battery, make sure the bike is running fine, wash and dry and you're good to go.
