That has alway been the problem w/ replacing regular bulbs w/ leds. If you need all the light, then led is a hard expensive way to go. But the led replacement bulbs usually consume only a fraction....like 1/10 of the amps of a regular bulb, so they are becoming popular in the interior of RVs "in no electric" camping situations. Also be careful for the cheap leds,...they are not regulated, and do fine on 12.8 volts, but the leds will slowly burn out under higher charging voltages. We have been getting a lot of experiences w/ leds in the RV industry. A good regulated led bulb that replaces an 1156 cost $20+ A non regulated one will cost $5.95, but will not hold up.
