Posts: 287	stock brake/tail light screws 10/22/09 at 15:10:01 anybody know if the 2 screws holding the tailight / lense cover are a dealer item or can i just get the right length screw ? are they a machine thread ? my tail light cover went and fell off yesterday. luckily i heard it hit the ground but screws were long gone. scotch tape holding for now thanks

I just bought a screw form bikebandit.com. I am glad I did because I don't remember seeing one like it in a hardware store. Probably I could've rigged up a screw with a small thick washer - but I don't like the hassle. With a torch you could braise the right combo then grind it to fit and with a brass coated head it wouldn't rust. 3.50 for the nut + shipping.
