So about 2 years ago I bought a pair of
Kenda Challengers at a very decent price
(less than $100 for both uninstalled) and all has
been fine and well with their overall performance,
no flats, no complaints, they handle great in all kinds
of terrain and have excellent wet surface grip.
They are not cruiser tires, but more like street/track tires
so they curve just wonderfully. The
rear is a #140 (barely fits)
and has given NO problems at all and is as solid as the day I
installed it; the
front is stock size and the problem is that
after only 3k miles has developed these weird
"rat bites", my
friends say it could be a factory defect with the rubber compound,
the problem appears to be mostly aesthetic and presents NO
handling problems but I just don't like this form of wear and
tear the tire has taken, oh well, here are some pics, any thoughts?
