Same old tire that's been there for over 2 years (about half worn out now). Could be, who knows? Wet, cold -- all the stuff tires don't like.
Braking seems OK though. Tire is still wearing itself back into perfect round from the wreck, so that could be part of it too.
Still, having it spin out a bit on acceleration feels nice. You'd never spin it out on dry pavement, you'd hook up and wheelie instead.

it's not super hard to do on these things. Ineclipse wheelied, on accident, riding 2 up, and his passenger was another fully grown +/- 180lb man. Popped a fork seal on the way down. I personally dont know how to wheelie, and the one time i did on accident my butt had a few quick puckers so...no pics coming from me.

Wheelie on a Savage, not hard to do -- all of them can do it.
Jest rev it up hard in first gear, dump clutch -- SEE THE SKY !!
Aaaarugh!
<KERBAM> <CRASH>
Pick the torn up bike up from pavement, replace the clutch, replace mirrors, levers, turn signals ....
you get the picture.
