Replaced fork seals
10/07/09 at 13:06:05

Finally got a chance this morning to fix my leaky fork seal. Replaced the parts inside both shocks pretty easily with Clymers. Thanks Verslagen1 for making sure I had the correct parts before dis-assembly. Just a heads up to those of you needing to do yours, here's the free tool I made to remove the bottom bolt with no problem. 5 gallon paint stir stick from Home Depot..shaved about 1/4" off the side and shaved down one end. This also worked perfectly to seat the final seals without damaging them. Placed the old seal down over the new one, tapped around the seal with the paint stick until it was completely seated. This job went very quick and easy. Thanks team!
