Spark Plug Wrench Size?
09/21/09 at 17:30:14
Anyone know the wrench size? The socket in the tool kit wouldn't fit,....too small. Is it a mm size? I did get it out w/ a 3/4"....I think it was, but it fit very loosely. If it is a mm size, I want to get a deep socket to fit it right.
thanks

18mm, good luck in finding one. I had to make my own as Suzuki is to cheap to put one in my tool kit on my 07.

18mm
look in lawn mower shops, I've seen some made the same way as mine in the garden section of some hardware stores, but didn't have a sparky to check.

18mm hex inside and really skinny outside. Most 18mm sockets are too fat outside to fit.

Good point. That's why I got this one. It's fairly skinny. No problems. 3/8 Drive Boofer

Dj, if you're not in a hurry go to Autozone website, click accessories, tools, hand tools, sockets, 18mm....They will ship in two days. $5.29 plus shipping. Didn't go that far. But I would try NAPA, Carquest, Advance, O'reilly, etc. If you can't find one PM me and I'll get one to you. Just guessin, but shipping USPS should be less than $5. Boofer

You can also go to wal-mart as much as I hate to say it. Stanley has one in a kit of several other metrics and it fits just fine.

I use 3/4, it fits well enough to not cause a problem.

Just look for a deep-well 3/8" drive 18mm socket.
Craftsman, among others, should work.

Remember to blow the dirt out of the recess before pulling the plug.
